And were might I add do we get that CAPITAL, when our own copper mines were making loses and we were investing in a bottomless pit. The government needed capital to spend on improving the livelihood of people.
Things will be better and only time will tell. It may be a bitter pill to swallow but,it was the only way out of our misery. For most part SAP is good for Zambia, but the question is only how fast to implement it. As for the falling Kwacha, every currency in the world has been falling relative to the dollar because of Oil prices and the expanding red hot US economy. The Kwacha in general is a joke (I hope things improve). Our workers in Zambia are not only over taxed but, are under paid. Economics is a science that studies the management of the four basic resources in macroeconomics: Capital, Enterprenuership, Natural Resources and LABOR. All we need to do is attract foreign capital.

We may have natural resources in Copper and other minerals, plus abundant arable land, good rainfall most of the time and game parks rich in wild life. Most Zambians may be poor but, we have plenty of resources and what we do not have is capital to spend on capital intensive projects like roads, schools, and improving the welfare of our people. All we can do is come up with a capitalist style for Africa, like what Japan did.
When recessions are looming market caps fall. Their stock market is in effect a barometer for the whole economy. Look at the USA at one time they were at the stage most third world countries are right now. I have met white people begging for money from me! Capitalism has proven to be the best for wealth creation and innovation. Having been attacked three times in the past five years it’s just by the grace of God that I am here today.
